Our Origin Story

LWoV was founded in 2023 by Sophir Jeune, an entrepreneur and advocate who witnessed the effects of domestic violence extend far beyond the home. Recognizing that DV impacts not only personal lives but also professional spaces, Sophir created LWoV to build safer environments, foster healthy relationships, and break the stigma surrounding domestic violence, especially in communities where these conversations are often silenced.

Our Mission & Vision

LWoV’s mission is to spread domestic violence awareness, foster positive and healthy relationships, and protect survivors by advocating for systemic change. Our vision is to create a future where safety is guaranteed, not just at home, but in every space where survivors live, work, and thrive.

We fulfill this mission through our core programs:

1. Raising Awareness: We educate the public through impactful events, workshops, and campaigns that challenge misconceptions about domestic violence.

2. Promoting Healthy Relationships: We equip individuals with the tools to build and maintain relationships rooted in respect, communication, and consent.

3. Community Outreach: We partner with schools, businesses, and community organizations to facilitate open conversations and create a network of support for those affected by domestic violence.

4. Survivor Support: We advocate for stronger protections and policies that empower survivors and provide resources to help them reclaim their safety.
